What are my rights as a contractor?

If you work in NYC, you have rights regardless of immigration status, national origin, or country of origin.

What is a Staffing Agency?

A Staffing Agency’s role is to connect companies in need of additional staff with skilled contractors to fill roles on a day-by-day basis. When you arrive on jobsite, you are technically working “for the company” that a staffing agency “staffs” you out to, not the Staffing Agency, although you will get your paycheck from Ruby Event Staffing.
